Even though event planning techniques and skills may come naturally to those who find event planning as a passion, it is necessary to stay in the loop of the event planning industry. I am currently a member of and event planning association by the name of EPA, which stands for Event Planners Association. The EPA is an organization that houses all types on event planners in whatever niche they are interested in. They provide moral support and business support for independent business owners that originally may have felt isolated due to the type of event planner they are. The EPA provides free legal forms necessary to conduct business and events with additional information in regards to professional certifications.
The EPA was established in 2004 and currently has it own Insurance agency by the name of EPA Management & Insurance Solutions, Inc. This Insurance company is great for event planners with insuring their events. The EPA also provides an opportunity for its members to be a part of the continuing education program. Being a member gives benefits that you would not normally receive as being an independent business owner. The EPA affinity program provides discounts for its members through corporations like National Rental Cars, OfficeMax, Hertz and many more. The EPA also has local community chapters that its member can be associated with that will help each member network with people who plan events in the same niche as them. The EPA is a one stop shopping association that can help any event planner to reach and exceed their goals.
Every event planner needs to be a member of the Event Planners Association. Everyone brings their ideas, experience and talents with them when they join the association and everyone who is a part of the EPA benefit off of each others experiences and also broaden their mindsets as they learn form others the different techniques, that will help them make their event a success.
